Jesus and the Psalms ✝️🎶📖

In this message, Pastor Eric invites us to take a fresh look at the Psalms 📖. With a nod to Carly Simon’s famous lyric, he admits he wishes he had titled this sermon “You Probably Think This Psalm Is About You.” Why? Because that’s exactly how we often read Scripture — assuming it’s about us.

But the truth is, the Psalms aren’t primarily about our lives, our struggles, or our righteousness. They’re about Jesus ✝️.

From prophetic verses like “they pierced my hands and feet” (Psalm 22) to the cries of abandonment and songs of victory, Jesus is the one who perfectly fulfills what the Psalms declare. He is the righteous one, the suffering servant, the anointed king 👑.

And yet, in His grace, He invites us into His story. The Psalms may not be about us — but in Christ, they are deeply and beautifully for us 🙌.
