Paul has been a member of Christ Lutheran Church Brea since 2016 and has served faithfully as an Elder since 2018. In February 2024, he stepped into the role of Business Administrator, feeling truly led to serve the church in this capacity. Paul attended and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran School in Whittier, where all three of his children were also confirmed.. Paul had a 40-year career with the City of Santa Fe Springs—retiring as Director of Purchasing Services in December 2023; now bringing his dedication to the church community. He is married to Cecilia, and enjoys hiking, and attending succulent and cactus shows, a hobby that reflects his appreciation for God’s intricate creation.

Abi Hilpert is ready to take on ministry here at Christ Lutheran Church!

This is her first call out of Concordia University Irvine where she finished her internship at a church in Bakersfield, CA. Abi, being the daughter of a Lutheran Pastor, has had anything but a normal childhood; living in 6 different states and attending 2 Concordia's (Texas and California). Abi loves to travel and bring the Word of God wherever she goes and to whomever she meets. She has been on over 5 mission trips, 2 of which were in Liberia and Hong Kong. She loves to jump right into a new community and involve herself as much as possible with the people there. She loves to support the needs of the congregation and the extra curriculars that the youth are a part of. 

Her favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9, which is also her Confirmation verse: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Though the world brings uncertainty, heartache, and temptation, this verse is a remembrance that God is always with us by our side and brings us what we need to overcome anything.

Tim Young has been teaching computer software and technology systems most of his life. For his college final graduating project he setup the computer lab at Lone Hill Middle School in San Dimas. He was a help desk technician and field trainer for Allstate and ran the Computer Repair Department at the San Bernadino CompUSA. 
He has consulted fortune 500 corporations while working for Electronic Computer Specialties and Bird, Paton and Associates. 
He has been working for Christ Lutheran Church and School since 1999, and has taught classes since 2001. 
Tim's formal education includes a Minor in Business Management and a Major in Computer Information Systems. 

Christian rejoined the staff of Christ Lutheran Church in October of 2020 after being away for 5 years, and now serves as the Technical & Social Media Coordinator. 
Christian previously worked with live streaming capabilities for live sporting events, and has brought his talents to the church to enable Christ Lutheran's services to be distributed into media devices all around the world.
He also serves as the webmaster for Christ Lutheran, and, creates and presents graphics for both in-worship use and the church's Facebook and Instagram accounts. 
Christian is married to his wife Sara, and they have two boys.

Michelle has been a member of Christ Lutheran Church since 1985 and serving in ministry since 1996.  She has a BA from Valparaiso University, completed her Director of Christian Education colloquy through Concordia University – Irvine, and her MA in Organizational Leadership through the Townsend Institute at CUI.

She is passionate about helping people of all ages grow in God’s Word, discover their God-given gifts, and deepen their relationship with Jesus.  In addition to her official ministry responsibilities, she loves singing in the choir and helping with the church food pantry.

She is happily married to John and loves being mama to her grown children, Emily and Ethan.  Spending time with family and friends, sipping a good cup of tea, reading a fun book, being cat mama to Luna and Elliott, and hanging out at the beach are some of her favorites.

God’s Word is deeply precious to her and her favorite psalm is Psalm 121.

Jennifer grew up in nearby Whittier and is a lifelong Lutheran. She has been the choir director at several Lutheran churches and taught general music at a local Christian School. She is blessed to be the Adult & Children's Choir Director at Christ Lutheran Church and School for the past ten years, and recently, she began teaching music at our school where her three children attend. It had always been a dream of hers to teach where her kids attend school. She currently sings in the Bonner Singers of which she has been a member for 23 years. She enjoys camping with her family in her free time. 

John has been playing music in church since the age of seven, fostering a lifelong passion for worship and teaching others to play instruments. As the Director of Contemporary Music, he brings his experience in piano, drums, bass, and acoustic guitar to lead and support the worship team for the 10:30 AM Contemporary Worship Service. He thrives in a collaborative environment, helping musicians stay in sync by singing backup and playing rhythm guitar. Above all, John enjoys worshiping with others and creating meaningful musical experiences.

Outside of his role at Christ Lutheran Church, John works full-time as an Assistive Technology Specialist with AUHSD. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and watching movies.
