ROOTED IN SCRIPTURE
Our Foundation
We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God and the final authority for what we believe and teach.
Through His Word, God reveals His will, His promises, and His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Everything we confess as a church is grounded in Scripture and centered on Christ—His life, death, and resurrection for the forgiveness of sins.
As a congregation of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, we hold to the historic Lutheran Confessions as a faithful explanation of Scripture.
Scripture Alone. Grace Alone. Faith Alone.
Our hope is not found in what we can accomplish, but in what Jesus Christ has already accomplished for us.
We are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Jesus is at the center of everything we believe and teach.
Core Beliefs
These are the foundational teachings we confess and hold to as a church.
The Bible
The 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are God's inspired Word and our final authority in matters of faith and life.
The Triune God
We believe in one eternal God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three distinct Persons in one God.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He lived without sin, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and will return in glory.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit brings us to faith, strengthens and comforts believers, and works through God's Word.
Sin & Our Need for a Savior
Humanity was created in God's image, but sin has separated us from Him. Every person needs the forgiveness and salvation found in Christ.
Salvation by Grace
Salvation is God's gift, received through faith in Jesus Christ, not something we earn by good works.
Baptism
In Holy Baptism, God joins His Word to water, giving forgiveness, new life, and His promises.
The Lord's Supper
In Holy Communion, Christ gives us His true body and blood with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins and strengthening of faith.
Christian Living
God's commandments teach us how to love Him and our neighbors. We serve others because Christ has first loved and saved us.

The Bible
We believe Holy Scripture to be the complete Word of God.
- The 66 books of the Old and New Testaments were inspired by the Holy Spirit.
- Scripture is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

God the Father
We believe God the Father is the Creator of all things, visible and invisible.
Jesus Christ
We confess the full deity of Jesus Christ.
- He existed eternally with the Father.
- He was born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life.
- He died in our place and rose bodily from the dead.
- He ascended into heaven and reigns at the Father's right hand.
- He will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is truly God. He convicts us of sin, creates faith, and comforts and strengthens those who believe in Jesus Christ.
He gives gifts to His people according to His will.
Humanity & Sin
Adam and Eve were created in God's image. Through their disobedience, sin entered the world.
All people are affected by sin and need God's mercy and forgiveness.
Salvation & Eternal Life
Jesus willingly suffered and died for our sake. We are justified through faith in His all-sufficient sacrifice and resurrection.
God preserves His people by grace. We confess the resurrection of the dead and the promise of everlasting life with Christ in the new creation.
Christian Living
The Ten Commandments summarize how God's people are called to love Him and one another.
Obeying God's commandments does not earn salvation. Instead, our lives of love and service flow from the salvation we have received.
Why This Matters
What we believe shapes everything we do—from worship and teaching to how we care for one another.
Because of what Christ has done for us, we gather in worship, grow through His Word, and serve others with love.
These beliefs are not simply ideas. They are the foundation for how we live as His people.
Lutheran Beliefs & Confessions
Our congregation is part of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS).
The Historic Christian Creeds
We confess the Apostles', Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds as faithful summaries of biblical teaching.
These creeds connect us to the historic Christian faith.
The Lutheran Confessions
We believe the Lutheran Confessions, collected in the Book of Concord, faithfully explain the teachings of Holy Scripture.
