Some of Jesus' most famous words are also some of His most challenging:

"Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."

In this message, Pastor Eric continues through the Sermon on the Mount and explores what it means to follow the way of Jesus instead of the way of the world.

⚔️ The world says: get revenge.
🕊️ Jesus says: pursue peace.

The call to turn the other cheek is not weakness. It is courage. It is standing firm without returning hatred for hatred.

Jesus calls His followers to:

🙏 Pray for those who hurt us
❤️ Love those who oppose us
🤲 Show radical generosity
✝️ Reflect the heart of our Father

Why?

Because that is exactly what Jesus has already done for us.

While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. While we were enemies, He loved us.

Now our Good King calls us to follow Him into a life of forgiveness, peace, and love.
