Did Jesus come to replace the Old Testament? To get rid of God's Law?
Not at all.
In this message, Pastor Eric explores Jesus' words from Matthew 5:17–20 and reveals that Christ did not come to abolish God's Law and promises—He came to fulfill them.
đź“– The Old Testament points to Jesus.
đź‘‘ Jesus is the fulfillment of God's promises.
❤️ Jesus gives us His righteousness as a gift.
The Sermon on the Mount isn't about earning salvation. Neither is it permission to ignore God's commands. Instead, Jesus calls His people to something greater: a new life lived in His Kingdom.
✨ Saved by grace.
🙏 Forgiven through Christ.
🕊️ Called to follow the King.
Following Jesus isn't easy. The standards are high. The road is narrow. But our King does not leave us alone.
He gives us His righteousness, His forgiveness, and His Spirit as we learn to live as His people in the world.
Because Jesus isn't simply another teacher.
He is the King to whom all of Scripture points.
