When life feels heavy and stress is high, we all go looking for comfort—sometimes in good habits, sometimes in distractions, sometimes in spiritual practices 🙏. In this message, Pastor Bill points us to what Martin Luther called the greatest comfort a Christian can have: our baptism đź’§.
On the Sunday celebrating the Baptism of our Lord, we’re reminded that Jesus was baptized for us—to begin His public ministry and to take on the burden of our sin ✝️. And in our own baptism, God gives real, lasting comfort: heaven is opened to us 🌤️, the Holy Spirit is given to us 🕊️, and God speaks His promise over us—“You are my beloved child” ❤️.
No matter what you’re facing, this message invites you to remember who you are in Christ: forgiven, claimed, and sent—a baptized child of God đź’›.
