Are the Beatitudes a checklist for heaven? An impossible standard that no one can live up to?

In this message, Pastor Eric shows us something beautiful: the Beatitudes are neither.

👑 Promises from the Good King to His people.

📖 Blessed are the poor in spirit.
😢 Blessed are those who mourn.
🕊️ Blessed are the peacemakers.
🙏 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake.

Following Jesus isn't easy. The road is narrow. It often involves sacrifice, suffering, mercy, humility, and faithfulness in a world that values something very different.

But Jesus, our risen King, promises that His people will be blessed.

✨ In mourning, there is comfort.
❤️ In mercy, there is mercy received.
🕊️ In peacemaking, there is the joy of being called children of God.
👑 In suffering, there is a great reward.

The Sermon on the Mount is not about earning God's love. It is about living as citizens of His Kingdom, trusting the promises of our Good King every step of the way.
