We sometimes say we're “on the same page” or “thinking on the same wavelength” when we understand someone well.
But what about God?
Through the prophet Isaiah, God tells us:
“My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways.”
Our sinful hearts naturally drift toward our own priorities, values, and desires. We can begin to believe that we're in control and forget that everything we have ultimately comes from God.
But God's ways are higher—and thankfully, that includes His way of saving us.
✝️ God came near to us in Jesus Christ.
❤️ Jesus willingly gave His life on the cross.
🙏 He died in our place for our sin and disobedience.
🌅 Through Christ, we receive mercy and forgiveness beyond anything we could imagine.
That forgiveness also changes how we see others. When forgiving someone seems impossible, we look again to the cross and remember how completely Christ has forgiven us.
And when we struggle even to forgive ourselves, the answer remains the same:
Remember who you are—and whose you are.
You belong to Christ. Jesus has paid the price. Your forgiveness has been won.
Through His Word, His forgiveness, and His gifts of grace, God continually draws us closer to His heart—teaching us to think more and more on the same wavelength as Him.
